Artist Exchange Project between the states of Rio Grande do Norte and the Maine

As part of the exchange of artists between the Rio Grande do Norte and the U.S. state of Maine, our sister-state in the United States, sponsored by Partners of the Americas Chapter-Maine RN, artist, architect and urban designer Flavio Freitas was to Maine in the period 5-17 October 2011 represented eight screens in the landscapes and culture of the state of the pines. In January 2012 our state receive the painter, sculptor and illustrator Daniel Minter North American, which will also produce paintings depicting the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The work done by both artists will be exhibited in the NB and Maine. Also, be published a bilingual book with all that is produced. Soon we will post the date and place of presentation of the work.

Donation of maps for the city of Campo Grande

In order to collaborate with improving the quality of education in our state, on February 10, 2011, Partners of the Americas have made a donation of approximately fifty maps for the Education Department of the of Campo Grande, Rio Grande do Norte, located 260km way from Natal, in the Middle West the state. On occasion, the Chapter RN-Maine was represented by Emidio Melo.

Donation of textbooks for public school Floriano Cavalcanti

 

On 16.05.2011, with the goal of encouraging the study of English, Partners of the Americas have made a donation of 50 textbooks for the training of reading in English language. the book was written by teachers Alínio Cunha and Alexandre Emerson, both members of the Partners of the Americas. At the time, were present Luiz Guedes, president of Partners of the Americas, Alínio Cunha, author of the book and member of the Companions, Soraia Cristina, vice-director of the school and José Damiao, also a member of the Partners of the Americas.

Jantar de confraternização e posse do novo presidente dos Companheiros das Américas, Comitê Maine Rio Grande do Norte. O evento ocorreu no Iate Clube de Natal, em 08/12/2010 e contou com a participação de diversos integrantes do Comitê local e vários convidados, como o cônsul norte-americano na Cidade de Recife, Christopher Del Corso. Na ocasião, Domingos Guará, transferiu a presidência para Luiz Henrique Guedes.
